I have been fascinated by the power of colour in fashion for a while now. How colour can change our mood, what they symbolise and effect a colour can have in our mind. With that said, regardless the colour, there is something very chic and powerful about a monochrome look. Spring / Summer 19 might be the happiest of all times – yellow is expected to be the ‘colour’ of the season – symbolyzes optimism and happiness.
Last season, we have/are witnessed the winter whites being a huge hit, wore whole white winter look and instantly you are on trend. Looking back at the SS 19 runway pieces, a very exciting “bright and bold” Spring/Summer 19 is ahead of us. We will be seing rich brown tones, romantic whites, sea inspired blue tones, bright yellow and orange hughes, you won’t be able to stay away from the beautiful coral, peach and pink tones everything.
Style is a very personal thing – we don’t have to have a” trend led style” but incorporate few pieces into my/your wardrobe – instantly your look is on trend.
We haven’t seen the brown and burnt orange tones on the runway for a long while – until Chloe and Fendi reminded us how great browns can be – paired with off white tones. Orange, browny nude tones and burnt orange is going to be everywhere in SS19 from interiors to make up to street styles.
Pearl White Details
Pearls tend to be always in fashion – classic pieces to invest. However, pearls never had its appeal for 20 smething women until AW18 while we have witnessed winter whites making huge hit – from street style to social media and every page of the fashion magazines. Pearls and pearly whites made a modern come back, pearl details mixed with gold were the highlight of the A/W 18. In SS19 pearls/pearly white tones are becoming even bigger hit and statement in every aspects of fashion – from jewellery to shoes, bags to hair accessories and clothing pieces.
Sea Inspired Blue Hughes
If you can’t go to the ocean – open will come near you this season. The Oceanic blue tones look stunning paired with greens, orange, yellow and beige. If the rich and strong emphasis of blue is your colour choice – pick yourself an item that will make you stand out from the crowd.
Orange is the New Black
If sunshine is not enough to brighten up your day this season – rich orange tones paired with sea coloured blues, bright neons and tones of yellows definitely will. Bring the colours of Italy into your wardrobe and let yourself enjoy all the noise and impact your wardrobe makes.
Put a Bow on It
Prepare yourselves for bow overload this season. Put a bow on anything you wear and your look is instantly made trendy. From hair accessories to shoes to handbags and to shirts – there is a peace of bow effect for every style. My personal favourite way of styling a bow trend is – a bow detailed heels paired with jeans and casual outfit for not too feminine but slightly more balanced effect.
Soft and dainty pastels scream Spring/Summer and we are used to seeing them each year. But this season its different in tones of corals, peaches and touches of millennial pink.If daydreaming is a trend – this season you are surely be on trend. This colour palette reminds me the streets of Venice and who wouldn’t want to be in Venice right now ?
What are the colours/ items you are instantly gravitated towards ? Oh well when fashion is all about having fun, lets have a bit of fun and enjoy 2019 Spring / Summer trends.
