For a self-proclaimed skincare junkie it is always exciting to try new skincare products. But nothing is more exciting then finding the one that exceeds your expectations. All of a sudden, you are in love with the brand you have never used before and wanting to try even more. There is no better time then autumn/winter to introduce new skincare in your regimen to boost the glow and provide youthful looking skin. There is no doubt that festive season is the best time of the year – but also the busiest as well. Long working hours, seasonal changes and indulging in festive food – is soon going to show in our skin. Recently – I introduced 5 new in additions into my skincare regimen – to give that additional boost in winter months and some are working their magic. But its also too early to tell if they are here to stay. After giving them a good try for four weeks straight, here are my initial thoughts.
Lixir Vitamin C Paste
Omg, the Vitamin C Paste is amazing! Have been using this as a morning mask. After the third day, I had noticed my tiny pigmentations has started to fade away. The product has a bit of a funny smell – but I am not too bothered about it. However, if you are sensitive about the smell then this may not be for you. On the other hand, if you are on the hunt for Vitamin C Mask to even out your skin that is effective with reasonable price point look no further – trust me you won’t be disappointed. More about the products on Cult Beauty & LixirSkin. Overall, love the way this product looks and the ethos behind the LixirSkin brand, my only concern is the packaging. Made of plastic – which does not make it environmentally friendly. The brand does not claim to be a sustainable brand in any way – perhaps this could be one area that LixirSkin can look into improving.
Biossance Squalene + Vitamin C Rose Oil
Biossance is a 100% plant – based brand, that claims to be nontoxic and sustainable. Which are the main reasons – I was drawn to the brand and wanting to try one/some of their bestseller. However, Biossance is not easily accessible in the UK. Currently, it is only available via London Loves Beauty. What I love about the product is, the texture and consistency, how it feels on the skin and the packaging. I have noticed brightness in general in my skin after using the product for two weeks.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
Summer Fridays is an LA base, Instagram hyped aesthetically pleasing brand – I have been wanting to try for a while and finally managed to get my hands on the infamous Jet Lag Mask. The Jet Lag Mask is an antioxidant-rich cream that claims to provide hydration and leave your skin glowing as you have just left the spa. Overall, I like the travel friendly packaging, adore the brand name and the influencers behind the brand. Loving the texture of the product, but so far have not noticed major difference in my skin. I will keep using the Jet Lag Mask until the last drop and my opinion might change over time but as first impressions – unfortunately, I haven’t noticed any change in my normal to combination skin so far. If you wish to try the product and see if it works for you the Jet Lag Mask is available via CultBeauty in UK.
Sisley Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream
Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream is super luxurious, hydrating and aesthetically pleasing day moisturiser. Love the texture & how it feels on the skin. Sinks in super quick. My skin loves loves loves this moistoriser. As always, Sisley never disappoints. Brilliant product, sinks in easily into the skin, super hydrating, clean, quality moisturiser.
Fresh Beauty Sugar Face Polish
Fresh Beauty Sugar Facial Polish is actually a cult classic and one of the best sellers of fresh. Just made its way to my beauty pile and my skin is loving it. With some products its love at first sight – from first application on and Sugar Facial Polish is one of them – best seller for a reason. It is effective, hydrating and leaves my skin very fresh and plumped.
