It was a bright and sunny day, wake up with a lot of energy and ready to take over the world ( well sort of). Yesterday, the first day of #MBFWISTANBUL for me went really well. I was invited to attend the Sustainability Panel (sponsored by Lenzing) great talk with some international speakers from Germany and London. Amazing to see the topic of Sustainable Fashion is becoming more and more talked about, right from the consumer level to manufacture to design and beyond. The key message during the whole Fashion Week Istanbul was Sustainable Fashion – is the way going forward. I am not going to get into too much details of this topic here – as it is a conversation for a different editorial. Now, lets get into my day & the details of my outfit.
Today, was the second day of Fashion Week Istanbul for me and I am so looking forward to the Tuba Ergin Fashion Show. In previous years, I have attended the Fashion Shows in London – this is the first time I happened to be in Istanbul during the Fashion Week. It is exciting to see what is happening at this part of the world during Fashion Month while New York Fashion Week is also taking place miles away.
Had a great and early start of the day, went for an hour walk by Bosphorus then breakfast with my little princess. Paid a visit to the hair dresser for a blow dry but little I know my hair would be stormed by the wind and I would look nothing like someone who visited the hair dresser but hey its part of the process, right ?
My look for the day was comfortable enough to run around for the meetings and a photo shoot – I had before the show. Went for the neutral colour palette as tones of browns, neutrals and whites are very much in, also some of my favourites. The weather is still in around 26°C so a white shirt, shorts and a trench seemed the right choice on the day – paired with black boots & sunnies to give a slight edge into my comfy look.
